Luxury Hand-Crafted Leather by HALO NZ Luxury Hand-Crafted Leather by HALO NZ

For the HALO Classic Upholstery Collection, the design team selects the most outstanding antique and vintage pieces and infuses them with a modern, exciting, new spirit.
The traditional charm of a leather armchair, the ageless beauty of an elegant sofa - every HALO piece reflects dedicated craftmanship, as the Kensington three-seater attests:
each piece contains 1,700 studs, each applied by hand and takes 14 hours to polish.

HALO leathers are tanned by hand and finished to the highest standard. The technique is a five-step finishing process exclusive to HALO that gives the upholstery a vintage, antiquated appeal.

Throughout the collection of sofas, chairs, ottomans, skilled artistry and easthestic flair is evident in all details and finishings of each piece, allowing owners to live surrounded by both distinctive and innovative design.

The Studio of Tableware - Rosle The Studio of Tableware - Rosle

The Open Kitchen: Excellence in both quality and function

The kitchen ambient has changed profoundly. It’s long been transformed from a workroom into a space for living. One of the most avant-garde kitchen concepts was a RÖSLE brainchild: the Open Kitchen. An ingenious system of organisation that’s not just purely practical but visually stunning too. It brings kitchen utensils out from the invisibility of back drawers and sets them out where you need them. The modular, extendable system is flexible and can be adapted to meet new requirements. The Standard Rails rails can be mounted directly to the wall or suspended below kitchen cabinets. With its innovative design, the Open Kitchen has long been a desired core element when refurbishing or constructing a new kitchen ambient.

Having recently become the New Zealand agent for Rosle, The Studio of Tableware is proud to offer access to the complete Rosle range.

Resene - Enjoy a metallic feature area Resene - Enjoy a metallic feature area

Precious metal hues of silvers, golds, coppers and pewters have stood the test of time and continued to be popular decorating colour choices. The Resene Metallics and special effects chart offers more choice of these colours as part of a selection that includes new hues developed using the new Resene Fine Aluminium tone.

Metallic paints were first introduced to the local market by Resene over a decade ago, and at the time, it was the striking dazzle of the Resene Enamacryl Metallic Blast Grey tone that caught people’s eyes. As time has travelled by, the desire for metallic finishes has tended towards the softer metallic sheen of the Resene Enamacryl Metallic Silver Aluminium tone. Resene Enamacryl Metallic Fine Aluminium uses a smaller metallic flake to give a superb metallic sheen, without the dazzle of coarser metallics. It creates a softer metallic effect finish, ideal for those who love the sheen of metallics but perhaps don’t want to splash out on anything too dazzling.

Resene Metallics and special effects are ideal for everything from exterior and interior walls to steelwork, furniture and kitchen cabinetry, so let your imagination loose! Resene Metallics and special effects charts are available from Resene ColorShops or order your copy free from the Resene website, www.resene.co.nz.

Designworx on Colour - Red Designworx on Colour - Red

Ruby, cherry, garnet, blood red, crimson, rose red, tomato, scarlet. Many names describe red.

Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. Hence its effectiveness in traffic lights the world over.
Its effect is physical; it stimulates us and raises the pulse rate, giving the impression that time is passing faster than it is.

Written by Amanda Neill from Designworx.

Designworx also runs regular One Day Workshops on understanding colour and creating your own personalised colour scheme that works.
