It’s very exciting to have our fantastic new website up and running. We love the opportunity of being able to add lots of colour, new flavours and news about our company.  This is our very first newsletter, so we hope you enjoy the layout and information it contains and may you visit us frequently as we bring you new updates throughout the website.

Firstly, I would like to welcome some new team members to Skellon Foods. 

Chris Paul has joined us as Business Development Manager. A lot of you will already know Chris, but for those of you who don’t, he is a Chef by trade who has worked in some of the top restaurants both here and in London. As former owner of the Food By Chefs Company, which sold to Kato in 2006, Chris and I have known each other for over 10 years. We see Chris joining us is a very exciting time for Skellonz, as he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that can only serve to enhance our business and yours.

Secondly, we welcome Claire Knapton. Claire has taken on a varied role that includes Marketing, Desktop Publishing, Sales Assistant, Web Management and Personal Assistant for Chris, Colin, Alan and myself. You may have already seen some of her incredible skills through our specials flyers, magazine advertisements (watch out for the November Food Service Magazine), helping set up our website, communication via emails and looking at other areas of business we were up until now unable to take care of. 

For those sports freaks like myself... looking forward to the All Blacks Europe Tour and my condolences to Portsmouth fans about Harry Red Knapp!

Lastly, but definitely not least - a huge thank you from the Team at Skellon Foods to all those wonderful and loyal customers that have supported us throughout the last 12 years, may it continue!

Nicholson Belgian Chocolate Mousse

With this product, anyone can make award winning mousse, semi-fredo, fruit creams, cheesecake fillings, truffles or mud cakes quickly. Made with the best all natural ingredients, egg and gluten free, just add water and stir for 60 seconds then fold through whipped cream, yoghurt or ricotta. Made from the finest quality Italian tomatoes, “THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS”!
Chefs are demanding the Mutti brand to enhance their finished dishes. Skellonz have tested this product and found that the Mutti brand had on average 500g more tomatoes per tin than other brands, equating to better value per dollar.  The full range including chopped, paste and cherry tomatoes are again top quality.

Feature Recipe
Toasted Israeli Couscous with Harrisa & Dressed with Chilli Yoghurt Dressing

Award Harrisa is New Zealand made and very flavoursome, with a mild undertone of chilli. Great for tossing through your pasta dishes, marinating meats or can be used as a great addition to dressings. In the attached recipe we have used it to complement another of our wonderful products, Toasted Israeli Couscous.
