Level 3 Products in Schools

Recently we have been in discussions about providing Level 3 products for Schools. While discussions are continuing, there will be Individual Training Packs available for specifically selected units in 2012 and you will need to go through the accreditation process to be able to deliver these Level 3 units. We will keep you informed as these decisions are made and development continues.

For information on gaining accrediation for level 3 hospitality units, please contact your Regional HSI Schools Advisor.

Discontinuing COAs

Owing to this availability of alternative Level 3 products, the combined Level 2/3 COAs Cookery Schools 5 and Catering Schools 1 will be discontinued when 14439 and the Home and Life Sciences units in them expire in 2013.

You can continue to use and report these two COAs until the end of 2013 and the Level 2 HSI units 13272 Cook food items by baking (V3) and 13344 Demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics of commercial cookery methods and their applications (v3) are both available from now as ITPs.

For more information contact your local Schools Advisor.
