We were thrilled to have drawn Colleen's name out as we remember meeting her at our very first Auckland homeshow stand in 2006, and Colleen has always popped in to say hi since.

The Axel Collection by HALO
The Axel collection of case goods, dining, occasional, consol and coffee tables, shelving and storage is a dramatic industrially inspired range.
The solid wood components of the products are recycled from decommissioned Chinese Junks.
The Sassafras hardwood used in traditional Junk building has an individual identity and quality. Specific colourations and textures are synonymous with the wood.
After decades of exposure to the high seas and elements, these qualities are enhanced and enriched.
The reclaimed wood from hulls, decking and beams is combined with metal to create a solid, linear collection with strength of character and personality.
The interplay of the beautiful Sassafras wood and metal creates a juxtaposition of interesting textures. The collection continues HALOs ecological endeavours.

Resene - Get inspired
The designers of the new Inspire wallpaper collection found inspiration in tactile effects and architectural shapes, such as the Bird’s Nest stadium in Beijing. The various layers within the wallcovering and the use of metallic accents create a constant play of light, which seems to breathe life into walls. Designworx - Using Strong Colours
In this Greenhithe Country Manor, Resene Finn, which was used on some of the walls, was the starting point for the layering of the colour palette for the flooring, new kitchen, window treatments, furniture and décor, pulling the scheme together with an eclectic mix of texture and pattern.
When using colour palettes in an interior space, consider how the colour connects together through the use of the design elements of pattern, line, proportion, and balance. In this room space. Resene Finn was incorporated into the curtain fabric, and into the cushions and artwork so that there was an overall seemless colour palette created.
Designworx offers one day Workshops on Colour, Textiles, Furniture and Décor
If you’re keen to learn some of the design secrets, these interactive and informative small group sessions will give you confidence to be more adventurous with Colour, Textiles, Furniture and Decor in your own home or design projects and gives you a chance to learn about the process to create interior schemes for your projects with ease.
