Harrowset Hall have also spent the past 6 months working on a range of exclusive designer cushions with the well known Oamaru artist Donna Demente and a local fabric artist.  Donna is well known in th South Island for her iconic. Italianate style, has had two recent successful exhibitions in Auckland and has been invited to exhibi in Venice next year.  These cushions are an extension of her art using her images and combining them with lush fabrics and embroidery to create very special textile pieces that become an alternative to the usual prints that artists might commonly produce.  Each cushion is totally unique in the combination of fabrics and images and can be seen as an investment in her future as a successful artist.

Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. Hence its effectiveness in traffic lights the world over.
Its effect is physical; it stimulates us and raises the pulse rate, giving the impression that time is passing faster than it is.
