Workroom Design now at Antipodes Design Store

The Antipodes Design Store in Auckland continues its addiction to NZ design with the addition of Workroom to its stable of designers. Workroom are a father and daughter team (Doug & Rebecca Snelling) with a focus on sustainability and ecological practices.

Like Rod from the Antipodes Design Store, their roots lie in rural Northland. This brings a refreshing respect for our natural surroundings combined with an eye for the surprising aesthetic and a pragmatism for cunning solutions. Much of the Workroom collection is constructed from carefully selected recycled timbers. Workroom’s lamps, stools and coat stand fit comfortably with other designs in the Antipodes range and offer great value for such skillfully crafted pieces.

The refurbishment of the YMCA North Shore building Stage 1 is well under way.
The use of a computer programme to generate 3D images of the proposed concepts enabled the clients to visualise the final design of the various rooms within the YMCA. The image shown here is of the members changing room.
The striking Red and Black Colours of the rebranded YMCA logo where integrated into all aspects of the design process and carried throughout the project enhancing the cohesiveness of the design.
